Partner Sites

Utilizing our training and curriculum in their own programs

Many individuals, organizations, and churches in the greater Oklahoma City area and beyond have established their own programs working with children or within the inner city. Because they have their own programming, they may not want to run an official Novo Ministries’ program site, but want to partner with us in other ways – by utilizing our curriculum in their Sunday School classes, after-school program, or tutoring program. Some have opted to send their volunteers to one or both of our training sessions, finding that the content is applicable and useful for their programming, all at no cost to them. Those who choose to establish this type of relationship with Novo Ministries – to utilize our resources in their own programming – are called Partner Sites. Partner Sites are required to submit quarterly reports on the number of children reached through our resources and the number of volunteers involved in reaching these children. Below, you can read about our Partner Sites and the impact they’re making.

Character Focus Ministries

Whether you are expecting ten children or one thousand, Character Focus can help. Event rates are affordable. Security and professionalism are our two highest complemented areas. Most importantly, our mission is to share God’s love with these children and lead them to a personal relationship with Jesus.

Church Ablaze

Church Ablaze exists to spread abroad the fame of Jesus Christ. We do this by building loving relationships with God and one another that will extend to multiple generations. The greatest miracle is a changed heart. We thirst to see people encounter a Holy God in a life-changing way. We strategically partner with ministries that will complement us as we work to bring restoration to the family. We believe that God wants to restore His glory in marriages, families, and individual lives through the ageless message of the Gospel. We gather on Sundays and offer Kidz Ablaze for the children. On Wednesdays, we reach out to our neighbors and apartment complexes in a variety of ways and serve them in Christ’s name. During the summer, we have Kidz Clubs in strategic places to introduce children to Christ in their environment.

City Careʼs Whiz Kids (17 Whiz Kids Sites)

Whiz Kids is a faith-based, one-on-one volunteer tutoring / mentoring program focusing on first through eighth grade students who live in areas which have some of the highest drop-out rates and lowest socioeconomic levels in Oklahoma City. Whiz Kids is proactive and preventative in nature, targeting inner-city schools and students who are reading below grade level and who could benefit most from a one-on-one relationship with a caring adult.

Whiz Kids sites often have a religious component where the gospel is taught to the boys and girls in attendance. Our partnership with Whiz Kids provides curriculum, training, and consultation to help facilitate the religious aspect of their program.

Community of Faith Church

Community of Faith Church has been called to provide a Christian presence within the inner city of Oklahoma City. We strive to exhibit, practice, and share sound biblical principles through Sunday morning worship service and our lunch and clothing ministry every Friday. We are excited to begin implementing the new phase of our vision: a second service in Spanish and biblical growth and development classes on Wednesdays. “We knew Novo Ministries’ curriculum would fit into our overall goal and we are excited to be in partnership with such a spirit-filled ministry.”

Crossings Community Church

Crossings Community Church strives to be a Christ-centered church building Christ-centered people through worship, Bible study, friendship, and compassion. Crossings seeks to reach out to those inside our church doors, the surrounding community, and across the globe. We do this by providing a variety of ways for believers to connect and grow in their faith and for seekers to learn more, recognizing that to effectively spread the message of Christ, we must also pour into and disciple those who call Crossings “home.” We share Christ with the surrounding community through a variety of outreach programs, from activities and resources at Crossings Community Center and Clinic to simply building relationships through structured programming to partnering with five inner-city schools. Our global vision reaches out to the worldwide church, to those who have never heard, and to those who are suffering the effects of poverty, war, and disaster. We focus our teaching on the non-debatable principles of scripture, while leaving freedom for personal convictions related to non-essentail doctrinal issues. Our highest desire is to live in light of Biblical principle while remaining culturally relevant to our community. We believe that becoming a Christ-centered person requires active participation within the church.

Reach Ministries

Reach Ministries is a non-profit ministry that seeks to meet the physical, educational, and spiritual needs of the children and families in our area. We partner with various local churches and other organizations to be a resource, help, and friend to those in need.

Since 2001, we’ve been meeting with the children of Colonial Hills Apartments every week playing games, building relationships, and telling them about their heavenly Father and His incredible love for them. Our ministry has since expanded to include Wednesday evening activities for children, a Bible study for women, and various special events throughout the year. We provide assistance with school supplies, clothing, food, counseling, and other needs that arise.

Although our involvement in meeting practical needs has increased over the years, our focus on Christ and the life-change that only He can give has never wavered. “Reaching kids and their families with the love of Jesus Christ” is still our number one priority.
