Her dad left her and her mom when she was about 7 years old. Her dad was abusive to her mom and to her. Sometimes, he comes back around to talk to her but she doesn’t want to talk with him. He tells her that he is sorry, but he doesn’t stop doing the things that are hurting her. She hates her dad and struggles with forgiving him. She gets angry when she hears that other people have good dads because she doesn’t have one. Heather is just one of the children who needs someone to show her hope, to show her how Jesus can revolutionize her life. But how can kids like Heather know unless someone tells them?
