Novo Ministries provides monthly training free of charge for all Novo Ministries’ volunteers and partners! We often provide custom training sessions for organizations or groups, as well.

Reaching Our Inner City
The Reaching Our Inner City training has the most up-to-date information on what is happening in the inner city right now and will give new information on current trends and statistics. It is helpful for experts and novices alike and focuses on some of the different realities of inner-city life – from gangs, to dropout statistics, to how to relate to children and families living in this environment. The material is drawn from a variety of credible sources, includes the most recent statistics, has been developed by individuals who have worked specifically in Oklahoma City’s inner-city communities for several years, and approaches each topic presented from a Biblical perspective.

Attendees Receive:
- Training Manuals on inner-city environment and culture
- The most up-to-date information on the inner city
- Interactive modules
- Lunch and light refreshments (full day trainings only)

Basic Training
The Basic Training sessions cover the Gospel presentation, counseling, discipline, large and small group teaching, and how to use Novo’s curriculum. While the training in regards to curriculum is Novo-specific, the other facets of the training have proven to be useful wherever one might work with children – from a Novo Ministries’ Bible Club in the inner city to a typical Sunday School class to an informal time of counseling with a child. The material has been developed by individuals who have experience teaching in both church and school settings – many of them right here in Oklahoma City, both the inner city and the suburbs.

- Training Manuals for each session (orientation, Gospel presentation, counseling, discipline, large and small group teaching)
- A marked Bible
- Insider tips and tools for working with Oklahoma City’s inner-city kids
- Interactive modules
- Lunch and light refreshments (full day trainings only)
